Sorry!!! -- Again!

So I'm a terrible blogger I know...

BUT...

I have been SO busy with wrapping up the semester.

Please forgive me.

Please.

Anyway...
This past weekend I went to Walmart with my mother (HI MOM) and we scored!
I got 4 similac (donated to a church) and used the overage to get my cart for free for a whooping -$0.02! Yes that's right. They PAID me $0.02!
I know, it's nothing big, but it was my first time being paid to shop. Love. Love love love. <3 It has sparked the desire to continue this wonderful obsession of couponing!

What's your monthly budget?

I've been thinking a lot about budgeting recently. Since I go to college full time and part of my room and board includes 3 meals a day 7 days a week, I've become a little immune to the daily cost of meals. I've never had to buy groceries for myself on a constant basis. So that leads me to my questions:

How much do YOU spend on groceries (either weekly or monthly)?

How many people does that feed?

How much time do you spend looking for deals/couponing/shopping?

Thanks in advance for answering!!!

Who wants something free?

So I know I've been slacking -- I'm SO sorry. Between being sick and procrastination on 1-5 page paper, and 3-3 page papers I've been a little busy. That's no excuse however, and I intend to make up for it in this post.
I think I've found enough freebies to win back your hearts!

Walmart Trip!

So I have been battling a nasty cold all week, so finally today my roommate and I went to walmart to get some medicine for me.
Of course I could not pass up the chance of using some coupons to get some freebies!

So I got 2 Similac bottles for $3.84/each and had the SS 4-03 $5 off Any Similac (used 2)
= $2.32 MONEY MAKER
I got 2 packs of 3-in-1 Purex (trial) @ $0.97/each and used 2 $1 off Any Purex Product
= $0.06 MONEY MAKER
I got tissues and mucus/sinus meds for my cold ** the tissues are not in the picture because I torn them out of the package as soon as I got into my dorm. They are the small Walmart brand tissues FYI
And I found an Arm and Hammer Spin brush on the clearance rack for $7 which I had a printable coupon for $4 off a Spin brush so it ended up being $3.
All in all I spent $11.19 and SAVED $16! That is a 70% savings. Not bad for being sick!

TLC Extreme Couponing

What's your opinion of the show?
I've heard positive and negative opinions on it from fellow couponers.
Do you think it'll make all couponers look like crazy hoarders? Or do you think the general public is smart enough to realize that this is a TV show, and not reality in most cases?
